Recommended Diabetic Diet
Goal is to count carbohydrates to control blood glucose level (1 serving = 15 grams of carbohydrates)
- 2 servings of milk products
- 3 servings of protein
- 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables
- 5 servings of grains
Menu
- Breakfast: banana, corn flakes, whole wheat bread, low fat milk
- Lunch: lean meat whole wheat bread, raw vegetables, low fat milk, apple
- Dinner: lean roast beef, baked potato, green beans, vegetable salad, fruit
- Snack: mini pretzels, canned apricots
